1)  Specifications of hot runner nozzle

The specifications of the hot runner nozzle include the valve gate type nozzle, direct gate nozzle and the pin point gate nozzle. In the design of automobile molds, valve gate type and direct gate nozzle are mostly used. The pin point gate nozzle is not recommended because it is too small in flow rate and difficult to process.


2) Valve gate hot runner nozzle design standard

The valve gate type hot runner nozzle design standard is divided into no cold material head and cold material head design. The design is preferred to use no cold material head design. The cold material head design is generally limited in the placement of the hot nozzle or the hot nozzle position is large. Used in the case of a bevel.

 

3) Direct gate hot runner nozzle design requirements

When designing the direct gate nozzle, it is generally required that the front end fit size should be at least 5 mm and the maximum should not exceed 25 mm.


4) Thermal expansion of the hot runner nozzle

When the heating nozzle is heated, it will become longer due to thermal expansion. The hot nozzle designed on the parting surface must take into account the wall of the front end of the hot nozzle, and reserve a wall space of 1 MM on the fixed mold or the movable mold. Since the dynamic mold processing wall space structure is more convenient than the fixed mold, it is preferred to design a 1MM avoidance dimension on the movable mold.
